The periodic table is an iconic summation of the physical and chemical properties of the elements. It was formulated before the structures of atoms were known, simply by noting patterns in experimental data. We now know chemical properties are determined largely by an element’s electron configuration. The periodic table can be a valuable tool in understanding chemistry. With this in mind this app has been designed as a learning aid to help the beginning chemistry student gain intuition and insight. This app was created using Electron.
